Steve Weinstein

Steve Weinstein is a Portfolio Manager at Worth Venture Partners, bringing over three decades of experience in hedge fund management, structured products, and convertible arbitrage.

Before joining Worth Venture Partners, Steve was Co-Founder, Co-Managing Partner, and Chief Investment Officer of Piolet Capital, LLC. Prior to that, he co-founded Sutton Brook Capital Management LP, a multi-strategy market-neutral hedge fund, where he served as Portfolio Manager for the Convertible Arbitrage strategy and Co-Portfolio Manager for Special Situations.  

Earlier in his career, Steve was Managing Director at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, overseeing the Merrill Lynch Convertible Arbitrage Fund and contributing to the Merrill Lynch Equity Arbitrage Fund. He previously managed the proprietary convertible arbitrage book at Lehman Brothers and was responsible for global risk in their convertible business. His experience also includes roles at Highbridge Capital Management and Mabon Securities, focusing on convertible arbitrage and special situations investing.

Steve holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, where he also served as a teaching assistant in real estate finance, and a BA in Government from Cornell University. In addition to his public markets experience, he has been active in real estate and private equity investments.
